Dr. Ahlstrom has enjoyed serving as a physician to the Rogue Valley community since 2019 when he joined Southern Oregon Anesthesia. He enjoys spending time with his wife and kids, playing soccer, riding motorcycles, camping, and being outdoors.

Dr. Amanda Alford joined Southern Oregon Anesthesia in 2006 after serving in the US Air Force as a staff anesthesiologist at Nellis AFB in Las Vegas. She is certified by the American Board of Anesthesiologists, the American Heart Association in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, and the International Association of Counselors and Therapists in Hypnotherapy. She currently serves as the compliance officer for AAM, auditing charts and providing education to ensure complete documentation and appropriate billing for anesthetic services. She is an avid birder and sits on the Board of Directors of the Klamath Bird Observatory.

Dr. Behrend is a board certified physician who returned to Oregon after completing his training at Mayo Clinic. He loves the broad spectrum of anesthesia care provided in the Rogue Valley.  He and his wife, Annie, have two children and enjoy whitewater rafting, hiking, snowboarding, and exploring beautiful Southern Oregon.

Dr. Benson enjoys meeting patients and helping them comfortably navigate surgery. In his free time he enjoys learning, the outdoors, and spending time with family.

Dr. Brooksby loves anesthesiology and considers his work a privilege. He is an Oregonian and is so happy to live in Medford. He spends his free time with his family and enjoys camping, swimming, and golf.

Steve enjoys the wide variety of anesthesia care that he can be involved in here in the Rogue Valley. He has a particular interest in cardiothoracic anesthesia and has pursued additional training in this area. In his free time, Steve enjoys spending time with his family, rearranging his yard with the tractor, and creating things in the wood shop. So far, all original ten fingers are still attached.

Dr. Steven Cannon joined Southern Oregon Anesthesia in 2002 and is board-certified.  In addition to a residency and board certification in Anesthesiology, he completed a fellowship in Cardiac Anesthesia and is board certified in Advanced Perioperative Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE).  TEE is a technique for using ultrasound imaging to diagnose problems with the heart muscle and valves during cardiac and other complex surgery.

Dr. Cannon enjoys his family, being outdoors, physics, math and learning just about anything.

Prior to joining Southern Oregon Anesthesia in 2009, Dr. Claassen worked as an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology for the University of California at San Francisco. Dr. Claassen is a board certified anesthesiologist in good standing. When not at work, he enjoys snowboarding, yoga, craft beer and spending time with his family.

Dr. Bryan Clark joined Southern Oregon Anesthesia in 2017. As a board certified anesthesiologist, he loves meeting new patients everyday and helping them through their hospital experience. Dr. Clark enjoys running, playing sports, speaks Romanian, but most of all spending time with his wife and children.

A board-certified physician, Dr. Derek De Vry joined Southern Oregon Anesthesia in 2015. Having graduated from high school in the Rogue Valley, Dr. De Vry enjoys being back in Oregon after a 9 year hiatus. He spends his free time with friends and family as well as enjoying multiple outdoor activities offered in the region.

Dr Edson joined Southern Oregon Anesthesia in 2019. His anesthesia interests include cardiothoracic anesthesia, heart failure, and echocardiography. He enjoys the outdoors and beautiful climate that Southern Oregon has to offer. He is an avid triathlete, enjoys running, biking, hiking, and snowboarding.

Dr. Fiddler joined Southern Oregon Anesthesia in 1991. He has practiced anesthesia in Medford as well as in Colorado since that time. He has served in anesthesia and hospital leadership positions in Oregon and Colorado. He has a particular interest in the development of international anesthesia services in underserved areas in the world.

Dr. Flury is a third generation Oregonian. He is board certified in both Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine. During his free time, he enjoys exploring the beautiful outdoors of the Southern Oregon region with his family.

Originally from the Midwest, Dr Ashley Gabrielsen joined Southern Oregon Anesthesia in 2017. She is board certified in both Anesthesiology and Perioperative Transesophageal Echocardiography. During her tenure at University of Massachusetts Medical Center, Dr. Gabrielsen served as Chief Resident. She enjoys cooking, reading, and exploring the natural beauty of Oregon with her family.

Dr. Hammond was born and raised in Alaska, educated in Seattle and Boston and has been an active member of the Southern Oregon community since the late 1990’s. When Dr. Hammond isn’t at work or spending time with one of his three adult daughters, he passionately enjoys world travel, backpacking, camping, cooking, auto racing and attending University of Washington football games. With over 30 years of clinical experience, he is comfortable with every aspect of anesthesia care and he looks forward to helping you safely and smoothly navigate your next surgical experience.

Originally from Western New York, Dr. Hilton is a board certified anesthesiologist. She completed a residency in anesthesiology in Baltimore, Maryland and a fellowship in Regional Anesthesiology in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, walking her dog, cross stitching, and reading.

Marcus Rampton returned to his home-state of Oregon in 2015 after serving in the US Army for eight years as a physician and anesthesiologist. He grew up in Corvallis, attended undergraduate at Brigham Young University and medical school at the University of Rochester. He did his anesthesiology residency at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, serving as the chief resident in his final year there. While in the Army, he deployed to Afghanistan in 2012-2013 for 7 months, helping to take care of over 1000 major trauma patients. Marcus is an avid outdoorsman, the first American to summit Mount McKinley in the year 2000 and has completed an Ironman Triathlon. He is the proud father of two children, Jack and Eliza, and his wife Rebecca is a Nurse Practitioner in the community.

Dr. Sykes and his wife, Elise, moved to the Rogue Valley in 2010. They love exploring the outdoors with their four children and are grateful to live in beautiful Southern Oregon. In his free time, Dr. Sykes enjoys mountain biking, skiing, running, hiking, and working in the yard.

Dr. Wurstle is a board certified Anesthesiologist since 2008. She returned home to join Anesthesia Associates of Medford in 2014. She completed medical school and Anesthesiology residency at Loma Linda University Medical Center, finishing in 2007. Following residency she worked at the Loma Linda VA in California for 1 year, then at SUNY-Stony Brook on Long Island, NY as an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology for 6 years. She enjoys hiking, reading, traveling, and spending time with her family.
